Settling In

Our First Class Nursery Settling-in Procedure

At VEYN, we know how overwhelming it is when your little one first starts nursery. Understandably, you’ve got a ton of questions about your child’s health, safety and day-to-day activities. What sets us apart from other nurseries is that we’ve designed a settling-in procedure that makes the transition as smooth as possible.

THE IMPORTANCE OF SETTLING IN

Helping your child settle into nursery is of tremendous importance, especially if it is the first time they’ll be away from you. A good settling in process is meant to bridge the gap between home and nursery, and will help both you and your child adjust to spending time apart.

HOW YOUR CHILD IS FEELING

Being in unfamiliar surroundings with unknown people can feel overwhelming and can lead to feelings of anxiety. This is why we have developed a settling-in process to help your little one feel more comfortable. Our settling-in procedure is designed to enable your child to begin to develop secure relationships with key members of the team and to prepare for the transition towards starting nursery. It also enables us to get to know you and your child, in order for us to ensure that your child’s individual needs are understood and met from the start.

FROM MILK TO SOLID

When your little one is ready to move from milk to solids, we have steps in place to make sure that this is a happy and comfortable transition.

Once they are ready to be weaned, we provide your child with a meal plan that you are comfortable with. From there, we will gradually add different foods to their diet once your child is ready. We are happy to spoon-feed or facilitate baby-led weaning and will work with you to ensure this process runs as smoothly as possible.
